Naughty Dog Private Island Log Cabin

Jo and Kent have created a little piece of heaven on earth. It is so nice to be able to explore the island and enjoy all the lovely nooks and trails that they have created for visitors to enjoy. We loved all the access to equipment (kayaks and canoes) and took advantage of having our 2 year old daughter get to try them all. They were very communicative in what we needed to prepare for our trip. The cabin on the island was such a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy the simple things in life. It has everything you need to just sit back and relax. Their hammock over the water and porch swing were just perfect to enjoy the views. We really enjoyed Jo and Kent's warm hospitality and generous spirits - their dogs were so great too!

We had a terrific time at both Hemlock Haven and the Little Cabin. Jo and Kent were terrific hosts, everything was spotless and exceeded our expectations for an off-the-grid experience. Our dog had the best time being allowed to run and play freely, and has a great friend in Skye! Thanks for everything! We can’t wait to come back.

This island paradise was the perfect getaway that my family needed after this long year! Little cabin island was very clean, private, & Kent and Jo were amazing and so sweet! My 6 year old daughter and pup loved it! Perfect swimming for them. Amazing sunsets & kayak rides too!

I mean, this airbnb is an experience like no other!! My dog and I spent 4 glorious days on the little island. Whether you prefer sunrise or sunsets, it's just a matter of turning your head the other direction. I woke up one morning at 4:30am and saw the most glorious sunrise of my life––I couldn't possibly go back to sleep and watched the lake wake up from the dock. <br/>Joanne and Kent were so helpful and lovely. I realized I forgot my phone charger my very first night, and Joanne immediately came over on a jet ski to hand deliver a charging cable + several portable batteries. Webster and I hitched a ride over to the big island one day and had a wonderful time walking around, imagining where we'll stay on our next visit!

If you are looking for a great, private getaway this this perfect place! Jo and Kent were the perfect hosts. my wife and I had an amazing time!

We spent 5 nights on the island and had a great time grilling and enjoying the water! Everything was as described and Joanne and Kent were wonderful hosts!

Phenomenal experience. Our own private island in the middle of a beautiful lake. The cabin was clean & well appointed. The bed in the loft extremely comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed doing all of our cooking & eating outside. The dock was private with a beautiful view. Enjoyed sunrise, sunset, even a full moon lighting up the lake while loons argued back & forth across the water. Kayaking before sunrise was awesome. The dock on the mainland is close enough that you can make a supply run using the canoe if needed. The wood stove was an excellent & efficient addition - would heat the cabin well in the the winter. Somehow there were no bugs & the water was warm enough to swim in - how that happens in Maine in May is beyond me. Jo & Kent clearly enjoy hosting & are available for any needs. We will be back!

What a find! This island escape was the perfect getaway. We just wish we had booked a longer trip. Jo and Kent go above and beyond to make sure guests are comfortable. Thank you again!

An amazing escape from the hustle and bustle of life. You can take in the sunrise from the porch or dock and sunset from the hammock. There is plenty to do-fishing, canoeing, kayaking, visiting BSI. Yet it’s also perfect to relax, read, draw, etc. and take in the spectacular views all around you. The cabin is super cozy and the stove works great for a nice cold night/early morning.
