Jo and Kent were the kindest most gracious hosts, and it was evident that they put a lot of loving care into this property. The cabin was clean, stocked with essentials (wood, potable water, pots/pans/utensils/measuring cups, French press, flashlights, solar shower, gas grill, etc etc) and full of thoughtful touches. My dog and I stayed alone on the island for 6 days, and I felt completely safe, comfortable and supported every step of the way. They were flexible and available if I needed anything, yet also respectful of space and privacy.
The sunrise/sunset views here are *out of this world.* At dawn, we’d walk out onto the little northern peninsula to stand directly between the moon and stars on the west, and the glow of daybreak on the east. So peaceful and beautiful. I will miss this place!! It was honestly my favorite vacation ever.
We felt very welcome, dogs and all! Our two dogs loved the island, water and surprisingly canoeing. Jo and Kent made it easy to get to and check out of the island cabin and it was warm and stocked with all the cooking tools you need, including a french press for coffee!
Book Little Cabin Island now! If “cabin on private island in Maine” sounds good to you, then do not hesitate to book with Joanne and Kent. They are great hosts and have really created something special here. We spent the weekend in a hammock, kayaking, canoeing, hiking and bird watching and we cannot wait to return to enjoy an evening by candlelight and listen to a loon on the lake.
Our weekend at Little Cabin Island was just wonderful. This is a special place and was a perfect environment for us to reconnect and recharge.
quiet, comfortable and warm surroundings. perfect git away.
This is the place to come and relax. Disconnect from the world and immerse yourself in nature, with some added conveniences. Not only can you disconnect, but so can your pup! No need for leashes here.
Be sure to relax on the porch swing and cook over the fire!
LCI is beautiful and we always have an amazing time there. We will be back. Thank you Jo and Kent!
Jo and Kent’s LCI is truly one of a kind. We chose this weekend to get away and unplug and spend some time with our pup who is home and more relaxed than I’ve ever seen her before. This is a perfect get away for those who want to connect with the outdoors and get away from the city.
This was such a wonderful stay! We loved being able to unplug and enjoy the lake, the cabin and the serenity of Little Cabin Island!
The moment we got here we were already scheming on when we could make it back. Jo and Kent were gracious hosts, ; quick to respond and to offer suggestions. Our dog loved it.
You will find yourselves at an amazing magical place on this Earth with Jo and Kent to guide you!
