This place is amazing. The hammock on the back of the island was my favorite spot to sit and watch the sunset. Exploring other island by canoe was a great way to see the lake. While we were it we saw loons, eagles, and osprey.
Inside the cabin was clean and comfortable. The front porch was were we would often each meals.
It was such a unique experience.

I had a wonderful three days of wilderness, and isolation staying with Jo and Kent. Out of five stars... I give them seven :)

Wow! Jo and Kent's island oasis is a must for anyone who loves fishing, the outdoors, boating, relaxing, has a dog, grilling, birdwatching, love hammocks, enjoys a good kayak ride, puzzles galore, and more! So basically I highly recommend this place if you have a pulse!

We had a really great time at Jo and Kent's beautiful little cabin on Annabessacook. The cabin is very well built and kept. It offers 100% privacy and is just a short paddle away from the Big island where you can take a relaxing hike along their well maintained trails. Jo and Kent were super nice and attentive. A highly recommended place.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the island cabin for 4 nights with our dog Jackson and it was awesome. Jackson was in heaven- off the leash, running around the island & and swimming. The cabin is very cozy and has charming rustic decor. Having no electricity wasn't a problem, and Jo & Kent supplied tons of candles and games. The lake is beautiful and the features of the island, such as fire pit/ hammock/ swing chair, are all situated in ideal locations for sunrise and sunset. Jo & Kent were great hosts- very communicative, responsive, and kind. The canoe & kayak were a great addition to the island- overall a great long weekend and would definitely do it again. Recommend for anyone looking to be off the grid, relax, and enjoy beautiful Maine nature.

Absolutely phenomenal. We stayed midweek so the lake was very quite and the weather was perfect. Could not have asked for a more peaceful and secluded vacation spot. You have near complete privacy and the island is truly one of a kind. Best of all, it is dog friendly. Thanks again Jo and Kent!

This place is amazing. Jo and Kent are incredible hosts, communicating with us from booking until we drove away at the end of our visit. Little Cabin Island is a great off-the-grid getaway and perfect to relax, read books, enjoy time outside canoeing or kayaking and for sitting by the fire and looking at the stars. We brought our two dogs and they had the time of their lives. They didn't want to leave at the end of our stay and I don't think we've ever seen them so tired. They slept for days. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking to get away and enjoy a little slice of Maine.

Omg! I cannot tell you enough what a great experience being at the island was! First off, Jo and Kent are super down to earth sweet people. Every little detail was thought of. We loved being here and wished we had made a longer stay. The pics cannot show you the beauty and craftwork of the house. Highlights included catching our bass dinner, the stars, our dog allowed to roam free for three days, the hammock, and even though we had a rainy day-it was so peaceful. We plan on returning.

Reading on a hammock, watching turtles, picking blueberries, fishing, kayaking, swimming, cooking on a camp fire, sitting on a porch, canoeing and watching osprey all on an island in a quiet lake with a nice cedar cabin. It’s a great spot. Jo and Kent were excellent hosts and helped make our stay very enjoyable.
