Naughty Dog Private Island Log Cabin

Jo and Kent's little island is absolutely amazing! Our family, including our 3 young children had such a great time reconnecting in the quiet. We really enjoyed sitting by the fire together at night and canoeing together. We traveled over to their larger island and enjoyed the rope swing. This is truly an amazing little place to stay.

If you've found this listing for Little Cabin Island, you've truly hit the jackpot- GO! My boyfriend and I just got home today after a long weekend here, and we cannot say enough positive things. Jo and Kent were wonderful hosts, and super accommodating with our later-than-expected arrival due to traffic. The cabin is such a treat - homey decor, secluded and private, super comfy bed and soft sheets... and that's just the inside! Incredible sunset hammock over the water, kayaking and canoeing, swimming and lazily rafting, dogs loving life on the outside! You'll never want to leave, just like one of our pups who hid under the house when it was time to go! :-)

We couldn't pass up the opportunity to stay on a private island during our first visit to Maine, and all the positive reviews about dogs sealed the deal. While our stay was brief and mostly rainy, it exceeded all expectations. We enjoyed reading, relaxing, and unwinding while the pups raced all over the island. We also successfully took them on their first canoe trip and had a visit from a bald eagle. At the end of our stay when we loaded the dogs into the car, they threw a fit like kids coming home from Disney World. Jo and Kent are superstar hosts and we loved meeting them – and Shadow, too!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay. Jo and Kent were amazing. The cabin is fully furnished and they already had everything we needed. We only needed our clothes and food. They communicated us with the whole time leading up to the trip. They accommodated all of our requests and questions. Seriously, it's a wonderful experience. And affordable. We had an amazing time.

What an amazing little private island getaway!! Even though it rained most of our trip, we still had a fantastic time watching the bald eagles and loons on the lake, reading, relaxing in the hammock, and watching our dog run around like crazy! This place is the perfect relaxation retreat, and a paradise for dogs!! Can't wait to come back!

As someone who uses Airbnb every time I travel, I have got to say that this is my favorite place I have had the honor of staying at. Not only was the property (cabin/island) absolutely pristine, but Kent was such a gracious and caring host. Our dogs had the time of their lives. We will definitely be back again!!!

This place is so beautiful & surpassed our expectations which were high to begin with. If you're on the fence about going, you should most definitely do so; it is a memory that will never be forgotten. Thanks again for your hospitality!

Jo and Kent's little island was the perfect place for my husband and I to unwind and relax for a few days after our wedding nearby. We spent most of our time fishing, canoeing, and just staring at the sky. The hosts were thorough and responsive. This beautiful place they have created, maintained, and thoughtfully shared with others was truly inspiring. Highly recommended!

Little cabin island is a wonderful place to disconnect, unwind, and enjoy being close to nature. The cabin contains all you need for island life, and its simplicity and sustainability is refreshing and much appreciated. You can swim, paddle, explore, and kick back to watch the clouds drift by with the loons and bald eagles. Our dog was equally happy with our visit, and we had an incredible getaway. Jo and Kent were excellent hosts and we look forward to returning to the island in the future!
